Abbie and Abby

At SeaWorld there is a Sesame Street show and the characters come outside so the kids can meet them. Well, we didn't see the show but we did see the characters come out while we were eating lunch. Abbie saw Zoe and thought that was cool but when she heard Abby Cadabby was there she wanted to see her. I know when she saw someone dressed in a big Shamu costume she didn't want to get very close, but when she saw Abby Cadabby she just ran right up and gave her a big hug. Thankfully I had my camera on when we were walking over or I wouldn't have caught the sweet hug. I just love that Abbie wasn't fearful at all- yeah! She told Abby Cadabby that her name was Abbie also and the characters don't talk but her expressions were that she was excited - Abbie loved it.

Weekend Off

This weekend Marty took off work and so we got to spend lots of family time together. Friday we went to see Kung Fu Panda (at the dollar movies) and ate a huge bucket of popcorn. Molly usually only lasts about an hour but after that she just stood in the row. Graham told me after the movie, "I actually liked the movie - it wasn't what I expected." Not sure what he thought it would be, but him saying that was very funny.

Saturday we went to the Science Center for their "Spooktacular Extravaganza." The kids got to wear their halloween costumes and do some crafts and get some candy (their favorite part).

Weekend Off - part 2

Sunday was a beautiful, cool day and we met some friends at SeaWorld. We had a great time seeing a show, riding a few rides and just enjoying the beautiful weather (and our friends of course). We have really enjoyed our passes (thanks to Marty's parents). It is perfect to go for just a few hours, then head home for naps or bedtime.

Chocolate or Strawberry?

Lately, Molly has loved pointed out all her body parts. She will go through eyes, ears, hair, mouth, belly button, hands, and feet. She loves to do this on herself and then to you also (normally poking you in the eye in the process). Well, sometimes when she points at her belly button she will point at her strawberry (which is like a raised mole but is red) that is on her belly.  Tonight Marty and her where doing this and when she go to her belly button she pointed to her strawberry and said "Chocolate." Close but not quite:)

Where have I been?

I know it has been a while since I blogged. Every time I sit down to blog, this little boy is all I can think about:
I can only think of the heartbreak and loss that his parents, Clay and Erin, are going through after suddenly losing their little boy on September 16.  I have wanted to write about it but haven't had the right words to say.  But I don't need the right words, because Clay's words seem perfect. Clay has been sharing about their grief and how God has been meeting them every step of their journey on his blog.  I have to say you should go read his blog.  Don't get caught up in "why did this happen" but please get caught in the inspiring faith and how amazingly BIG our God is. Please pray for them, as Clay shares in his blog "It is by your prayers and by God’s faithfulness that we are surviving this terrible, unavoidable storm."

Day Off

Last week, Graham had a day off school.  Abbie had class that day so it was just Graham, Molly and me.  Graham is such a great big brother, he was very happy to have some time with only Molly.  We went to the Science Center for the short time when Abbie was at class.
