Funny things about my day

This afternoon the kids and I were playing outside and our dog, Bean, was outside with us. I heard him whining a little and just figured it was at our neighbor's dog. Then I walked over and saw this:

He tries to chase geckos and they love to try to hide in this sandbox (that is now toy storage since I don't trust my kids to keep the sand in the box and not put it all over our backyard). He could barely get out by himself so I'm not sure if one of the kids (i.e. Molly) moved the lid on him or it just happened.

Then tonight Molly was looking at this cool book we have called "gallop" where it shows a bunch of different animals and it looks like they are running or flying or whatever they do.

So when the kids were going to bed, I told them to tell everyone goodnight. Molly then decided she wanted to give kisses to every animal in her book!! I laughed when I saw what she was doing so of course she continued and made sure I saw every kiss she did:)

Our kids love him

Our kids love our dog, Bean. Marty and I, it depends on the moment:) The kids were coloring pictures and decided that they each wanted to draw a picture for Bean. Later on this is what I noticed:

(He looks a little scared. I think the flash scared him)

To give the kids credit, they did ask Marty if they could hang the pictures up in Bean's house. Not many dogs have pictures hanging up for them next to their beds I bet!

Molly and Bean

Molly is in love with our dog, Bean.  She loves to follow him around and say "beeeeaaan" over and over and over.  She will sit on top of him and try to ride him like he is a horse.  The other thing she likes to do is feed Bean from her highchair.  She can be quite sneaky about it also.  The other day we were eating Mac and Cheese which she loves so I never thought she would have been giving some to Bean.

Well, as you can tell from the picture I was wrong.  Bean had some of the mac and cheese on his head.  He is always by her side sitting up begging for food.

Also, today he ran off while in the backyard and you should have seen Molly.  She was so upset.  She just kept standing at the edge of our yard saying Bean and then once he came back she was so excited and ran over and tried to hug him (of course he normally runs away).  So instead she decided he needed some more water - so sweet!  Seeing how much the kids love Bean makes up for all of his annoying barking.
