Baby?

Abbie loves to push around her stroller. She will put any and everything in it. She has pushed around all of her jewelry, all 8 of her Barbies piled up, random baby toys and has even pushed Molly or Graham, but I have to say this is the funniest one yet.

This is Graham's Road Ripper Truck. I guess it was her baby for a while. She was even talking to it and treating it like one of her dolls:)

Before kids

Before kids I never put things on my fridge. I believe I said I never would. Well, even after kids this was all we had:

But slowly in the last year or so my fridge has had more and more kids drawings on it. I have tried to fight it. I have spread the papers around so there were only a few on each of the 3 sides. But last week this is what I came down to:

Graham had pulled up a chair to the fridge and in his own words "made it look like an art gallery." (he was standing on the chair that's why they are only on the top) I have to admit, I kind of like it.  Yes, I love things simple. I would love a clean fridge with absolutely nothing on it, but I love that it is a constant reminder of my sweet kids and their creativity. There is actually a painting done by my husband - also a sweet reminder that he still enjoys acting like a kid. So I am learning to get joy from the mess and the toys because I have such a short time with them here on earth. I am learning to enjoy all that parenting brings because God blessed me and allowed me to have 3 amazing, healthy kids:)

Many faces of Molly Bly

Molly makes some of the funniest faces when I try to take her picture. Some of it is her saying "cheese" and some of it is just that she is 20 months old. Here are some of the best - I could have posted many, many more. 

Surprise! This is one of her favorite reactions to just about anything. Last night she kept doing this every time she turned the page in her book.  And of course she loves making this face during hide and seek.

I love that Graham is smiling nicely and Molly is doing her "cheese" face. The other picture I have is reversed, Molly is smiling and Graham looks bad. Thankfully Marty knows how to use Photoshop.

Again with the "cheese" face. I have tried to figure out another word for them to say so it doesn't make such a weird face, but haven't really figured it out - any ideas?

Abbie's First Day

Since I blogged a while ago about Graham's first day of Kindergarten, I thought I would blog about Abbie's first day in her 3 year old co-op class. She went last year and was very excited and ready to go back this year. Abbie's good friend Anna is in her class and she absolutely loves her. I didn't take very many pictures, but here are a few:

Overall Abbie has loved going to "school" again.  The biggest difference to me is that she will actually tell me what she did that day. It isn't super detailed but I have been surprised at how much she remembers and how easily she tells me.  In other words, I don't have to ask her 50 questions.  She is growing and learning more everyday and it is so wonderful to be a part of it. 

Rocky Baby

Molly really loves music.  She has always enjoyed dancing to any and all music and just recently she has been trying to sing.  It is very sweet.  She also really enjoys playing with her babies and pretending to feed them and put them to sleep.  The other day she was singing to her baby:

I believe the song goes "Rocky baby, rocky baby in the gegop.  Rocky, rocky baby."  This was the first time I had seen her do this but she has been rocking her babies a lot since.  Also, this was the first time I had tried her hair in pigtails. I would do pigtails all the time if my girls would let me - I love them.

The girls share a room together and every morning Abbie gives Molly massive amounts of toys to entertain her after they wake up. It is such a sweet big sister thing to do. She always gives her Barbies and then whatever other toys she feels like giving her that day.

Last night Molly was crying awhile after the girls had laid down so I went in to check on her.  I went over to her crib and laid her down and gave her her blanket and she was fine.  I looked over at Abbie and she rolled over and tiredly says to me, "I can't give her Barbies all the time!"

So this first week of kindergarten was not what we expected. Because of Hurricane Fay, Graham only had two days of school. He went his first day on Monday and then had Tuesday and Wednesday off, then had school on Thursday and off again on Friday.  Definitely, didn't help me get into a routine of getting up early and being ready.  Oh well, hopefully this next week will be better.  

I was so excited this morning when I woke up and there was sunshine! (We haven't seen that in a week)  But this afternoon it started raining again, YUCK!  I read that we had a total of 11 to 14 inches of rain!  Graham isn't going to be able to play on the playground at school for probably a week at least because it was completely flooded. What an interesting start to the school year!
